Academy Performance Analyst

About The Role

Following an internal promotion, Leicester City Football Club Academy are seeking a focused, motivated and enthusiastic Performance Analyst to deliver high quality analysis support within the Youth Development Phase (YDP) of the Academy, aiding the individual development of our players as they progress with the Club.

Based at Leicester City Football Club’s new world-class Training Ground, this role will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in collaboration with the wider Academy departments.

The main duties of this role are to;

–        Attend and film YDP training and fixtures

–        Provide statistical data and video content of Category 1 and 2 opposition, from both a team and individual perspective

–        Prepare and deliver pre- and post-match presentations, detailing tactical and objective information for players and coaches, and evaluating team tactics

–        Provide analysis, feedback, support and guidance to relevant stakeholders, including coaches and individual players when required

–        Conduct ‘day release’ programme sessions

–        Generally aim to provide a ‘best practice’ service to players and coaches through collaboration and a focus on Continuing Professional Development

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have attained a degree in Sports Science or Performance Analysis (or equivalent / similar relevant discipline), have experience working with young athletes, and be able to work both collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary setting and also under their own initiative.

It will be essential that the successful candidate has experience using SportsCode analysis software, high level communication skills, have the ability to work flexibly to a changing work calendar, and thrive in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
