Role Overview

MK Dons are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Analysis to lead the club’s performance analysis department. This key role will oversee all aspects of performance analysis for the First Team and Academy, supporting coaching and performance staff with high-quality, data-driven insights. The successful candidate will drive innovation in analysis processes, contribute to tactical planning, and support individual player development through objective performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and management of performance analysis across the First Team and Academy.
• Deliver pre-match, in-game, and post-match analysis to coaching staff and players.
• Support tactical preparation and match review processes with video and statistical analysis.
• Collaborate closely with coaching staff to ensure analysis supports the playing philosophy and training methodology.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts across all age groups to maintain high standards of analysis delivery.
• Oversee the use and development of performance analysis tools, software, and workflows.
• Produce bespoke video content and presentations to aid player development, team learning, and opposition scouting.
• Ensure seamless integration of video and data analysis into all performance and recruitment processes.
• Contribute to CPD across the club by sharing insights and developing innovative approaches to analysis.

Requirements

Essential:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a senior analysis role within a professional football environment.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent knowledge of performance analysis software (e.g., Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Coach Paint, Keynote, or similar).
• Strong understanding of football tactics, coaching methodologies, and performance metrics.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience working in the EFL or Premier League.
• Relevant degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field.
• Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., StatsBomb, Tableau, Power BI).
• UEFA Coaching qualification or equivalent football education.
